WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A fitted tank or t-shirt with cycling shorts is recommended for comfort on the saddle.  Your welcome to bring Gel seats if you prefer to wear regular gym clothes and need an extra level of protection while your body adjusts to the saddle.  Cycling shoes with SPD clips are recommended for a superior ride, but stiff-sole athletic shoes are ok, too. New riders are encouraged to arrive early for the Cycle City Team to show you around and help you get set up properly on the bike.

WAIVER

We’re thrilled you want to take classes at Cycle City Fitness. All riders are required to sign a waiver in the studio prior to your first class, and students who are 13-17 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

CHANGING AREAS AND LOCKERS

For your comfort and convenience, we have unisex restrooms equipped with a shower, complimentary towels, and spa-quality toiletries.    Lockers are provided to secured your personal belongings.

REGISTER

If you book your bike online prior to class, your name and bike number will be on our sign-in sheet at the desk. Make sure you verify your arrival so our staff knows you’re ready. Unclaimed bikes will be released 5 minutes prior to class, so it’s super important you remember to check in.

ARRIVAL TIME

First time riders are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to settle in and give our staff a few minutes to show you the ins and outs of the ride.  Because of safety concerns, new riders will not be admitted to class if they arrive late.  All classes start on time, so make sure you’re on the bike before the lights go down.

WHAT SHOULD I EAT BEFORE CLASS?

We suggest you have a light snack 30-40 minutes prior to your City ride. Approximately 100 calories of simple carbohydrate will maintain your blood sugar and energy level for the duration of the ride. Check our Facebook page for tips from our instructors.

HYDRATE

Hydration is the key to an energizing, effective, and successful ride. Make sure you begin drinking water about 2 hours before your ride. Continue drinking during and after the ride.  A purified water cooler is available, and water bottles are for sale in the studio.

BIKE SET-UP

Proper alignment on the Stages indoor bike is essential to protecting your knees, shoulders and back. For safety and effectiveness of the ride, it’s important that a trained staff member assist you in setting up your bike.
